Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the Bihar BJP Core Committee meeting in the national capital on Wednesday to chalk out the party’s strategy for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

According to party sources, the meeting will focus on strengthening the NDA’s ground-level campaign and guiding state leaders on key electoral tactics. A senior Bihar BJP leader told ANI, “The Bihar election strategy is very important for the party because the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah will pave the way for the NDA’s success in the state assembly polls.”

Party insiders said discussions will also address countering the Opposition’s recent ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, which accused the BJP of “vote theft” and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Whatever guidance is given by the central leadership today will be implemented on the ground to motivate our cadre and ensure the NDA’s victory,” another BJP leader added.

The Bihar Assembly elections are expected in October-November 2025, though the Election Commission has not yet announced the official schedule.

Currently, the 243-member Bihar Assembly has 131 NDA legislators—including BJP (80), JD(U) (45), HAM(S) (4), and two Independents. The Opposition’s INDIA bloc holds 111 seats, led by RJD (77), Congress (19), and Left parties.
